All of our tours, with a few exceptions to be mentioned below, are guided group tours with fixed dates which are available on our website or brochures. Irembo Holidays Safaris guides are carefully selected experienced and expert professionals. Moreover, most of our guides are natives of the destinations, born and raised in the local culture with unparalleled knowledge and insight. As group sizes differ per the time of year and the itinerary, the average group size for each tour is available online at their respective tour page. Combo tours with 2 or more countries may have a different guide at each country. Similarly for national park tours, you may have a separate guide at each park you visit, providing you with the real local insights.

What is a Guided tour?

Guided tours are similar to escorted tours but travelers are led by a local representative at each destination, rather than a Safari Tour Manager (STM) conducting the entire trip. Travelers may not be escorted to all activities and functions and will have a lot more freedom during the day. Just like escorted tours, most meals and sightseeing plus all of your accommodations and transportations will be included on your tour. Guided tours are perfect for travelers who want some freedom, but still prefer the comfort of having a guide with you part of them time.

What’s Included on a Guided Tour?

Generally, a tour will include as many services as possible, giving you less to worry about. Usually included on your tour are: transportation (getting from place to place while on tour), accommodations, most meals, and the services of a dedicated Safari Tour Manager. As per the itinerary, most sightseeing opportunities are also included: tickets to special access to the most famous game parks, game reserves, cultural and historical sites, and when available, access to a personal local guide for expert commentary.
